Kere Ayan
Nowness | Kere Ayan
A day at the Yakut Ballet School – a college in a small city near the Arctic Circle. Children arrive there at just five or six years old and spend their entire childhood – studying, training, and living together until they graduate as professional dancers. The film portrays this routine — from playful moments to focused training. Kere Ayan is a Yakut expression that means «a journey towards maturity and beauty»
